How to Join

Joining us is a simple process.  Firstly, we ask for you to complete the appropriate form which should be returned to the club office when making your payment.  Your application is then processed and passed before the board.  You will be provided with a welcome letter and welcome pack shortly after, both of which are full of useful information from the club and your section committee.

We are all here to help the joining process go as smoothly as possible and help you feel both welcome and integrated into the club.  Whether you are new to the game or transitioning from another club, if you have any questions please feel free to contact the office staff, the pro shop staff or your section Captain or a member of their committee.

Our club year starts on June 1st so the table below lists the annual fees for each category, however should you be looking to join part way through the year we will calculate a pro rata rate for the remaining months. In addition to this there are two other charges; a swipe card fee and affiliation fees, both of which are listed in the table with further details below.

Affiliation Fees

All clubs pay a levy to fund The County and National Unions.  The fee is charged to the members with their annual subscription fees and is split between Surrey Golf and England Golf. Here are some of the benefits of being part of these unions:

Surrey Golf:
As well as running all county events, the union is the area authority for handicapping matters and also deals with Rules queries and matter of Amateur Status, mainly reinstatement applications, before these are passed to the R& A if appropriate. Part of your affiliation includes your County Card which offers discounted golf at over 1,000 clubs in England.

England Golf:
Use the affiliation fee to benefit both you and the game of golf. The main points include:

  • You can obtain your handicap and seek authoritative advice.
  • Experience first-class competitions.
  • They invest in elite amateurs performing at the highest level.
  • They aim to protect players and the sport's reputation.
  • They help golf clubs thrive and grow.
